During this year's Dark Sky Week, we're looking for a small group of volunteers to take and record light measurements around Bluff for Dark Sky Monitoring!

Join Bears Ears Partnership for a day of stewardship to clean up project sites on Saturday, April 27, 2024! Choose one of these four projects, in and around the monument, with different tasks.

Discover the remarkable ancestral understandings of the vast Bears Ears landscape and sky, and how the built environment reveals that understanding. With Gregory Munson from the Society for Cultural Astronomy in the American Southwest, Inc. (SCAAS)

Registration is ONLY necessary for virtual attendees - registrants will receive the Zoom link with their confirmation of registration. 

Animas High School students are invited to participate in a fun and purposeful day of stewardship, with a half-day of work and half-day of hiking. Projects will include removing brush around facilities at Sand Island, and weeding the parking lot at Recapture Rim trailhead.

Join us for this Weed Wrangle on Saturday, May 4 in Indian Creek to help protect the Monument! The day will start at Creek Pasture Campground at 9am, and after weeding, stick around for a bonus talk about butterflies and citizen science.
