February Star Party

February Star Party

Join us for our next monthly Star Party with Telescope Viewing on Thursday, February 12 at 7pm at Goosenecks State Park (UT-316, Mexican Hat, UT 84531), in partnership with Utah State Parks.

Goosenecks was designated an international Dark Sky Park in 2021 by DarkSky International. The park offers a 1,000-foot vertical view of 300 million years of Earth’s geological history and a 360-degree vista of the heavens.

All experience levels welcome. We will provide several telescopes for you to use, and you are welcome to bring your own. BEP staff will share stargazing tips and point out celestial features. Please bring a red light and chair or blanket for sitting.

BEP is hosting monthly star parties around each New Moon, in addition to other Dark Sky programming. Save the date for the next Star Parties: March 11 (Edge of the Cedars), March 19 (Canyon Country Discovery Center), and April 9 (Bluff Community Center).
