Spring 2025 Visit With Respect Ambassador Training
Become a Visit With Respect Ambassador!
If hiking and the outdoors sounds like a great combination for volunteering, then join us for a one-day training session. You’ll have the opportunity to learn and practice the skills needed to be one of our on-the-ground Visit with Respect Ambassadors.
You’ll serve as a friendly presence at the most frequently visited trails in the Bears Ears region, enjoying stunning scenery while you share pointers with visitors on how to visit this sensitive landscape with respect.
Help us continue conservation efforts to keep these sites protected for generations to come!
Training details:
DATE: Saturday, April 26th, 2025
TIME: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
WHERE: Bears Ears Education Center (BEEC)
LOCATION: 567 W. Main St. (Highway 191), Bluff, UT 84512
Please note: Camping spots ARE AVAILABLE at Sand Island in Bluff, Utah - about three miles away from the Bears Ears Education Center. These are reserved for the training, but if you also registered for our Stewardship Day on Sunday, April 27th, then you’ll have a spot for an extra night.
We will be engaging in both indoor and outdoor workshops, including a hiking trip to a cultural site in the afternoon - make sure to dress appropriately and bring lots of water. Our guest speakers will be Josh Sherrock, Supervisory Park Ranger, and Sarah MacDonald, Archaeologist, both from the Monticello BLM Office.
