Stewardship Day
Celebrate National Public Lands Day by volunteering with Bears Ears Partnership on Saturday, September 28.
BEP will be hosting several stewardship projects in different locations, and volunteers can swap projects during the day. Projects go 9am-1pm or until tasks are completed. Tasks will vary by location, and you'll receive more information after registration. Please note projects are subject to change.
Free lunch provided with sign-up. If you would like a free box lunch, register online by September 27.
About the Projects:
Cottonwood Wash: Recent monsoon storms in late June and early July caused flooding from Tank Mesa, resulting in damage to the trail. Once the weeds are cleared, we plan to improve the trail's drainage system to prevent future flooding and washouts.
This critical task on the Speaking Springs Preserve in Cottonwood Wash will significantly reduce erosion and maintain the integrity of this route.
