Cave Towers Volunteer Weeding Project

Join us On Friday, August 23 for a day of volunteering at Cave Towers to help protect and maintain the Bears Ears region for all visitors. 

Meet up at the Cave Towers parking lot at 8am. The goal is to improve the parking lot and ensure hikers and other visitors are following dedicated trails. The primary tasks include weeding the parking lot, road and walkways, and removing fire rings.

Volunteers will receive an orientation on Visit With Respect guidelines, which all volunteers and visitors need to follow to respect cultural and natural sites. Volunteer Manager Ricky Begaye will also share about the importance of local pollinators, including birds, bats, butterflies, and moths. 

Bring: water and snacks, and layers in case of inclement weather.
