Sarah Stellberg is an attorney with Advocates for the West, a public interest, nonprofit environmental law firm. Her practice focuses on the conservation of federal public lands, waters, and wildlife across the West. Early in her career, Sarah represented Bears Ears Partnership in their challenge to Bureau of Land Management oil and gas leasing on the doorstep of Bears Ears National Monument, a fight which continues today. She has remained involved with the organization ever since. Sarah grew up in the midwest but became captivated by western landscapes on childhood road trips. She now lives in Boise, Idaho, where she spends her time exploring the mountains, rivers, and sagebrush sea. Sarah holds a law degree from the University of Michigan Law School and bachelor’s degree from Whitman College.
