Director
Long-time Bluff resident Linda Sosa believes the natural and cultural resources of San Juan County are unparalleled. Linda moved to Bluff, UT in the ‘70s for the geology and stayed because of the community, culture, and the incredible outdoor opportunities in this unique landscape.
Sosa brings a wealth of knowledge to the BEP board of directors including the perspective of a long-time resident and educator. After raising a family and teaching mathematics for 17 years, Linda now serves as a city councilwoman on the newly-elected Bluff Town Council. While change in the region is inevitable, she believes in preserving and enhancing Bluff as a scenic, rural town while encouraging careful development that helps maintain the sense of community. Bluff, which serves at the basecamp to Bears Ears, has supported BEP and, more recently, the addition of the Bears Ears Education Center.
